Maui Named "Best Island in the World"

Maui has been recognized as the “Best U.S. Island” for an outstanding 19th time by Conde Nast Traveler.  It was also voted the “Best Island in the World” by Conde Nast Traveler readers.

Why does Maui capture the heart of vacationers?  Perhaps it’s the natural beauty, relaxed aloha vibe, affordable yet quality resorts and hotels and plethora of activities available.  When you visit Maui, not only can you learn to surf, snorkel at Molokini, see a great luau like Drums of the Pacific and zipline through the Maui’s tropical jungle, you can also seek out adventures found on the Road to Hana, bike down the Haleakala Volcano crater and enjoy the quaint allure of towns like Lahaina.  There’s so much to see and do on the island of Maui, it’s easy to see why it is repeatedly voted the Best U.S. Island.
In the same Best U.S. Island category, Kauai placed second.  Oahu came in fourth place, while the Big Island place sixth.
