The island of Kauai will host the Kauai Music and Songwriter Festival beginning July 28 through July 31, 2010. The four day festival will celebrate the craft of songwriting and is geared towards anyone with an interest in music.

Guest to the festival will be able to consult one-on-one with award-winning songwriters, Grammy-winning producers and other top musicians. A songwriting competition is also planned.

During the Kauai Music and Songwriter Festival, there are also two nights of concerts. On Friday, July 30, from 6pm-9pm, Kevin Griffin, David Pack, Jason Blume, Bonnie McKee and Jeff Dayton will appear. On Saturday, July 31, from 6pm-9pm, O’Brian Eselu, Charles Brotman, Kenneth Makuakane and The Pandanus Club will appear. Performances by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place KMF songwriter contest winners will also perform on both nights.
